We have not yet reached the point of AI usage where we hand over total control in health care. But we now know the areas where it will be the most effective and what kind of guidelines we need to consider. Here is the story.

We know that there is still a possibility of bias which is concerning and has to be dealt with oversight. Then there is security when it comes to handling personal information and legal requirements that we may have not considered thoroughly like who is responsible when the indications given turn out not to be effective or are even harmful?

However, once we get through all the red tape and have more confidence in recent applications of AI, we still need to supervise. That is for the more serious aspects of what AI might be used for.

But when it comes to diagnosing disease or identifying the presence of a specific malady, this will be particularly useful. That could mean we get treatment sooner and microscopic details that we could not see previously are more likely to be discovered.

Finding new drugs is certainly going to be on the agenda and the process of assessment and acceptance should be cut back considerably so we are able to use new products sooner. There is also the idea that we will save a lot of money since the process is refined.

New treatments will also be found and possibly new therapies too. Future pandemics can be figured out much earlier if we get AI to hone in on any areas of concern. It can find patterns and potential problems.

Also, those people who are prone to diseases could get help through AI if it was utilized to predict the odds of getting ones that could be risky or dangerous. They could also take a new direction to avoid getting it in the first place.

Of course, patient monitoring could also be maintained through AI systems. And anything suspicious could be acted upon before it develops into something. Additionally, any kind of administrative repetitive tasks could be taken on as well.
