Being Called A 'Bop' Another Form of Shaming
We have to help our teens navigate this world so they can have the courage to deal with the bullies of the world and unfair treatment.

It seems like bullying knows no end when it comes to our teens and the language they use to put each other down. The slang term ‘bop’ means this person has had sex with multiple persons and users claim they have digital proof.
Once again women are being targeted and the purpose is always the same, to belittle, shame or put down and make that person feel they are inferior. The fact that the poster claims they have proof makes it more worrying since too many tend to believe what they read online without doing proper research.
Apparently this dates back to Tik Tok in 2022 in a video meant to call out someone. This is another indication that young people who watch the same content can get their message out easily to others who will in turn deliver the contempt without evidence.
Everyone wants to belong and this is one of the weaponized ways teens have to hurt each other. The irony here is that at some point each and every teen has been affected by this kind of victimization yet when they see it, they assume the worst and do not support the victim.
But recently, some teens are fighting back. They are posting videos that point to the accusers and their lack of integrity. This changes the game and makes those responsible squirm since now they are in the spotlight.
But these are the few who have the personalities to stand up to bullies. I wish there were more. They could save a lot of fragile minds who are deeply affected. I for one applaud those few who dare to show courage in the face of so much animosity. Their stories need to be told too.
Maybe it is time we arm our kids with the knowledge that they are valuable human beings and they can handle anything, even unfair claims from others. The effects would be far reaching and support them in later life to see others with a sympathetic eye and to extend kindness.
